VIDEO: Nathan Lane on 'Birdcage' Co-Star Robin Williams: 'Nobody Was More Kind Or Generous'

On Tuesday, Broadway's Nathan Lane sat down with CBS 2's Dana Tyler at Joe Allen restaurant in Midtown, New York and spoke about what it was like to work with the comedic genius that was Robin Williams.

The actors co-starred in the 1996 movie "The Birdcage" in which Lane portrayed Miami Beach nightclub owner Armand Goldman and Williams played his romantic partner, Albert, who also starred in a drag show at the club.

"Nobody was more kind or generous", Lane said of the actor who tragically passed away last week at the age of 63. Check out the interview below.

Nathan Lane is a two-time Tony and Emmy award-winning stage and screen star. He is best known for his roles as Albert in The Birdcage, Max Bialystock in the musical The Producers, Ernie Smuntz in MouseHunt, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and his voice work in The Lion King and Stuart Little. In 2008, he was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame. He most recently appeared on Broadway in The Addams Family.
