In a new interview with PEOPLE, Tony-winning actor James Corden, who will soon take over as host of CBS's THE LATE LATE SHOW, reveals what it was like working with Meryl Streep, his favorite Adam Levine song and his favorite musical moment. Check out the video!

"I'm just this guy from a tiny town most Brits haven't even heard of, let alone Americans. This is just not something I ever thought would come my way," the 36-year-old tells PEOPLE of taking over for Craig Ferguson on the CBS late night talk show. "I feel like I'm a teddy bear in one of those grabber machines at the fair and I'm surrounded by more impressive teddies but for some reason it's grabbed me even though it was going for another. I'm the one going, 'Okay, this will be your life for a bit.' "

James Corden comes to American late night television with a growing list of award-winning and critically acclaimed credits. He is a Tony Award-winning performer on Broadway (One Man Two Guvnors), a BAFTA-winning star of a UK television series, a feature film actor with two releases this year, and an acclaimed host, writer and producer in several genres of television. The actor recently starred as 'The Baker' in Rob Marshall's INTO THE WOODS.
