Below, BWW shares an exclusive clip from Part 2 of THE HOLLOW CROWN: THE WAR OF THE ROSES, airing December 18, 2016 as part of PBS/THIRTEEN's Great Performances. The series stars Tom Sturridge, Hugh Bonneville, Sophie Okonedo, and Sally Hawkins. In the clip, bitter rivalries erupt into the Wars of the Roses and battle and bloodshed ensues.

For three consecutive Sundays beginning December 11 through December 25, the BAFTA Award-winning The Hollow Crown returns to PBS/THIRTEEN's Great Performances. With direction by Dominic Cooke, The Hollow Crown: The Wars of The Roses is a lavish three-part television event of Shakespeare's "Henry VI" (Part 1), "Henry VI" (Part 2) and "Richard III." Upcoming episodes include:

Henry VI - Part 2 Premieres: December 18, 2016 - After victory at the Battle of St Alban's Plantaganet and the Yorkists force Henry VI and the Lancastrians to give away their right to the Crown on Henry's death. The ambitious Queen Margaret is enraged that her son should lose his inheritance. Margaret attacks and murders Plantaganet at his house. His surviving sons, Edward, George & Richard, escape. Joined by the Duke of Warwick they take up the struggle against the Queen and the House of Lancaster.

Richard III Premieres: December 25, 2016 In his quest for the Crown Richard plans the murder of his brother George. After the death of Edward IV, Richard's path to the throne is clear, except for the Princes in the Tower.
