Universal Moves Up Luc Besson's LUCY with Scarlett Johansson

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures has moved up the release date of Luc Besson's LUCY, starring Scarlett Johansson and Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, to July 25. The film was originally slated to hit theaters on August 8th.

LUCY will now go up against HERCULES withDwayne Johnson, SEX TAPE, starring Cameron Diaz and , and STEP UP ALL IN.

From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that Tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.
