8/15 Update: At her concert in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday evening, Adele denied reports that she will be the halftime show act at next year's SUPER BOWL. She shared, "First of all, I'm not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don't really - I can't dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no." She added, "I'm sorry, but maybe next time."

On August 10th BWW reported: According to the UK's The Sun, multi-Grammy Award winner Adele may be ready to headline next year's SUPER BOWL Halftime show.

An unnamed source from the NFL told the British newspaper, "There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now and organizers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up. She's sold out every date on her tour, everyone wants a piece of her and they know they can bank on her bringing in the viewers."

The source went on to reveal that "it's Adele's nerves that are the issue - it hasn't been an easy sell."

The singer would follow in the footsteps of a string of big named artists who have performed at the game's half time musical extravaganza. Last year's show featured Coldplay, Beyoncé, and Bruno Mars. Other performers have included Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Usher.
