"Daym, Daym, Daym!," exclaims Daymon "Daym" Patterson, the enthusiastic and voracious food critic and certified Youtube sensation. This summer, Travel Channel hits the road in search of the best takeout joints in the new original series BEST DAYM TAKEOUT, premiering with a special one-hour season opener featuring back-to-back episodes tonight, July 31 at 10:00 p.m., ET/PT. Patterson travels the country to give one-of-a-kind reviews of the best takeaway meals from behind the steering wheel. Every location may tempt Patterson's palate, but only one can be named the "Best Daym Takeout."

"'We know Daym's millions of online fans enjoy watching his mini reviews and now they'll see him on his very own TV show," said Andy Singer, General Manager, Travel Channel. "There have been a lot of series that review food, but none like this. With 'Best Daym Takeout,' we're giving our viewers a deeper dive into the hilarious and insightful take on takeout. Viewers will be craving the delicious takeout specials reviewed from the front seat of his car as Daym travels across America."

Patterson, the instantly-relatable everyman, delivers bite-size commentary with larger-than-life personality on every kind of takeout food imaginable...not from a table or a bar, but from the place where it's the hottest, most tempting and drool-inducing - the driver's seat! From city-to-city, he visits three local favorites and judges each on two things - experience and food. Every bit of Patterson's 6-foot-5-inch, 390-pound frame is filled with a lot of love - for both food and comedy!

The premiere half-hour episode follows Patterson as he samples some of the best takeaway Chicago has to offer. From the deep dish at Pequod's Pizza in Lincoln Park, the hot dog at Superdawg in Norwood Park to the Italian roast beef sandwich at Mr.Beef in River North, Patterson delivers his patented blend of hilarious and poetic critiques to describe each mouthful of Chi-Town cuisine. In the second half-hour episode, he heads south for that authentic New Orleans taste with some crispy fried chicken at Willie Mae's Scotch House in Treme, blazing hot crawfish at Acme Oyster House in the French Quarter, and a belly-full of po-boys at the Freret St. Po-boys & Donuts in Uptown. Patterson soon discovers, it's not that easy in "The Big Easy" to crown one of these local hot spots the winner.

Throughout each of the six half-hour episodes featured in this limited series, Patterson gives viewers his unique reviews and off-the-wall commentary while traveling the country in search of the best carryout in each town he visits. In addition to locations in the premiere back-to-back episodes, his other stops include Atlanta, Los Angeles, Portland and San Francisco.

"Best Daym Takeout" is produced by Banca Studio in association with Lionsgate Television for Travel Channel. For Banca Studio, the executive producers are Roy Bank and Bruce Klassen. For Travel Channel, the executive producer is Sean McKnight.
