Warner Bros. Home Entertainment releases Vanilla Sky with Alternate Ending on Blu-ray™ today, June 30. The release will contain two versions of Vanilla Sky - the 2001 original theatrical cut and the new Alternate Ending Version. The Blu-ray has new enhanced content including deleted, alternate and extended versions of scenes and two new vignettes.

Vanilla Sky, a Cruise/Wagner-Vinyl Films Production, is a remake of the 1997 Spanish film Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes) directed by Alejandro Amenábar. Released by Paramount Pictures in 2001, the film was directed by Academy Award®[i] winner Cameron Crowe (We Bought a Zoo, Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire) and stars Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible film franchise, Edge of Tomorrow), Academy Award®[ii] winner Penélope Cruz (Vicki Christina Barcelona) who was cast as Sofia in both the original and remake, and Cameron Diaz (The Other Woman, Shrek films). The film's eponymous song, "Vanilla Sky" (music and lyrics by Sir Paul McCartney) was nominated for both the 2001 Academy Award® for Music (Original Song) and 2002 Golden Globes® for Best Original Song - Motion Picture. Cameron Diaz also received nominations (2002 Golden Globes® and Screen Actors Guild Award®[iii]) for her supporting role in the film.

Synopsis
Tom Cruise delivers one of his finest performances in this unforgettably powerful film that reunites him with his Jerry Maguire director, Cameron Crowe. Young, handsome and wealthy, publishing tycoon David Aames (Cruise) can have anything his heart desires. Still, David's charmed life seems incomplete. One night, David meets the woman of his dreams (Penélope Cruz) and believes he may have found the missing piece. But a fateful encounter with a jealous lover (Cameron Diaz) suddenly sends David's world out of control, rocketing him on a roller coaster ride of romance, sex, suspicion and dreams...to a shocking, final awakening you will never forget.
