The Duluth Playhouse Announces Filmmakers for 2016 Short Shorts Film Festival

The Duluth Playhouse announces the filmmakers of The 11th Annual Short Shorts Film Festival, set for Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 7:00pm at The Underground.

For the first time in Short Shorts Film Festival history, the festival is international. Not only were films submitted from right here in Duluth, Minn., but also from all over the world, including Italy, France, the UK, Hungary, and Germany.

This year's submissions are:

Challah it Forward, Marc Kornblatt (USA)
20 Meters of Love in Montemart, Pierre Gafflie (FRANCE)

Festival goers will enjoy a cash bar and complimentary appetizers courtesy of Whole Foods Co-Op following the viewing of all 21 films while votes are tallied. Local filmmaker, Mike Scholz, will also be awarded the Mike Time Achievement Award during the 11th Annual Short Shorts Film Festival.

The night's top three winners will be awarded cash prizes: 1st place $300, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100. (And remember, these winners are chosen by that night by the audience!)
