Telemundo's 2016 Billboard Latin Music Awards BILLBOARD DUETS Reaches 5.4 Million Total Viewers

Last night's broadcast of TELEMUNDO's 2016 Billboard Latin Music Awards "Billboard Duets" reached a cumulative audience of 5,453,000 total viewers, according to Nielsen. The star-studded show, hosted by actress and TV host Gaby Espino and "La Voz Kids" Coach Pedro Fernandez, averaged a combined audience of 2,554,000 total viewers and 1,248,000 adults 18-49 with the simulcast broadcast on Telemundo and NBC Universo. The pre-show red carpet special "La Alfombra de los Premios Billboard" was the #1 Spanish-language program at 7pm, averaging 1,588,000 among total viewers and 748,000 adults 18-49.

Locally, the Billboard Latin Music Awards show ranked #1 in its time period, regardless of language, in Miami among total viewers and adults 18-49, and #1 in Spanish-language in New York and Boston, among total viewers and adults 18-49, and also in Philadelphia and Orlando, among total viewers.

On social media, the show ranked as the #1 most social show across Spanish-language networks and program types on Twitter and Facebook and was the most mobile show in Billboard Latin Music Awards history. The show reached 930,000 unique users online since the show page launched and generated over 645,000 social actions on #Billboards2016 content across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The hashtag, #Billboards2016 trended worldwide on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, generating over 302,000 instances.

In a first in its history, Telemundo presented the 2016 Billboard Latin Music Awards "Billboard Duets," a unique awards show exclusively showcasing never-before-seen duets and collaborations between music performers. The evening offered its worldwide audience unforgettable moments, from the entertaining fashion display of TV and music stars on the red carpet, to spectacular performances, world premieres and passionate acceptance speeches. Nicky Jam and Enrique Iglesias tied atop the winners list with seven awards each, while Juan Gabriel won five awards.
