Telemundo to Present 'Fumbo al Mundial' FIFA World Cup Action, 3/25

NBC Deportes presents four Concacaf World Cup elimination matches on "Rumbo al Mundial," the first three on Friday, March 25 and the fourth on Tuesday the 29th on TELEMUNDO, NBC UNIVERSO and NBCDeportes.com digital platforms. Game times are as follows:

Friday, March 25

Honduras at El Salvador, 9PM/8C/6P on TELEMUNDO. The Salvadoran squad, led by Honduran Coach Ramón Maradiaga, are in third place in Group A by just one point thanks to their last game, a 0-0 tie against Canada. Honduras, for its part, won two of its last friendlies (2-0 over Cuba and 3-1 over Nicaragua) but lost 3-1 to Guatemala. Without any points in the elimination so far, Honduras needs a win to keep its World Cup hopes alive. Coach Jorge Luis Pinto is putting his top players on the field, including Olimpia midfielder Óliver Morazán and star Carlo Costly, back by fan demand. Also returning to help their national team will be Honduran players contracted to foreign clubs, including Brayan Beckeles (Necaxa, Mexico), Diego Reyes (Correcaminos, Mexico), Roger Espinoza (Sporting Kansas City, MLS), Maynor Figueroa (Dallas FC, MLS) and Alfredo Mejía (Panthrakikos, Greece). The legendary Andrés Cantor will narrate this important duel between Central Americans, with commentary by Sammy Sadovnik and three-time top Mexican scorer Carlos Hermosillo.

United States at Guatemala, 10PM/9C/7P on NBC UNIVERSO. Fresh from a 4-0 shut out against St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Guatemala now faces its biggest test so far in the elimination round against the Group C leader. The US also trounced St. Vincent (6-1), but its game against Trinidad & Tobago ended in a 0-0 draw. Ana Jurka will present this match; Copán Álvarez will be on charge of narration, with commentary by Chivas de Guadalajara star Manuel Sol.

Costa Rica at Jamaica, 12AM/11C/9P on NBC UNIVERSO. Jamaica needs to make the most of its home field advantage to catch up to second place Panama in Group B. Costa Rica leads the group as the only team with a perfect record so far.

Tuesday, March 29

El Salvador at Honduras, 9PM/8C/6P on NBC UNIVERSO.

For the first time in NBC Deportes history, both El Salvador- Honduras games will feature an exclusive behind-the-scenes preview for Facebook users, offering an up-close look at the pre-game preparations for the World Cup elimination round. Hosted by Ana Jurka, Facebook Live "Rumbo al Mundial" will give fans the opportunity to interact with the network's sportcasting team, including Sammy Sadovnik, Carlos Hermosillo, Manuel Sol and Copán Álvarez. We'll see them as they get ready to go on air and peek inside the heart of the production effort: the control room, the digital area and the television studio itself.
