Telemundo Airs FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015 Today

Telemundo presents the Final Draw for the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™ live from Ottawa today, December 6 at 12PM/11AM C/9AM PT.

The award-winning Deportes Telemundo team, led by legendary sportscaster Andrés Cantor, will cover the details of this exciting event, which will be simulcast across the United States on mun2 and the Deportes Telemundo EN VIVO EXTRA app. The vast experience of Jessi Losada, the unique style of three-time top Mexican scorer Carlos Hermosillo, and the invaluable perspective of former Chivas de Guadalajara player Manuel Sol will contribute to this special program, with veteran commentator Sammy Sadovnik and "Ritmo Deportivo" host Leti Coo reporting from Canada.

In addition to the draw ceremony, Deportes Telemundo will feature interesting profiles of the international women's soccer scene as well as interviews with Hispanic players and coaches from some of the top Latin American teams participating, including Leonardo Cuéllar, a recent inductee into the World Soccer Hall of Fame (located in Mexico) and the coach, with his son, of the Mexican national women's team.

Twenty-four teams will participate in the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015,™ divided into 6 groups of 4 teams each. Representing CONCACAF will be the host country, Canada, as well as the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica. South America's CONMEBOL will have Colombia and Brazil; Europe will send Norway, Sweden, England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Holland; and AFRICA will be represented by Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Cameroon. Australia and New Zealand will play for Oceania, while reigning world champion Japan will take the field for Asia along with China, Korea Republic and Thailand. The winner of the final playoff game between Ecuador and Trinidad & Tobago will determine which team will round out the list of 24 competitors.

The FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™ will be played in six host cities: Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Moncton, beginning on Saturday, June 6 and ending with the final championship match on July 5.
