Telemundo reaffirms its leadership in political news coverage this election cycle with its #YODECIDO 2016 coverage, including the pre-Super Tuesday telecasts of the Clinton-Sanders Town Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday, February 18 co-produced with MSNBC, and the only RNC-sanctioned Republican Debate hosted by a Spanish-language network this election cycle on Thursday, February 25 in Houston, Texas, in partnership with CNN. The Democratic Town Hall and the Republican Debate form part of #YODECIDO, the Network's news coverage and voter registration platform to inform and empower Hispanic voters nationwide this election season.
"We are taking a historic step by having all presidential hopefuls engage in a direct dialogue with the Latino community days before the primaries enter a decisive stage," said Luis Silberwasser, President of Telemundo Network. "In states with large Latino populations, like Nevada and Texas, the Latino vote can determine the outcome of the primary process. With the Democratic Town Hall, the Republican Debate and our special political 'Super Tuesday' coverage Telemundo is offering the most complete, fair, and unbiased information platform in Spanish-language TV." Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders will participate in a Telemundo and MSNBC Town Hall moderated by José Díaz-Balart and Chuck Todd on Thursday, February 18 -- just two days before Nevada's First in the West Democratic caucuses. The event, sponsored by the Nevada State Democratic Party will focus on issues affecting the Latino community and will air on Telemundo live on the West Coast from 6-8 p.m. PT, and in all other zones from 12 a.m.-2 a.m. ET, from 11 p.m.-1 a.m. CT and from 10 p.m.-12 a.m. MT. The Democratic Town Hall will also stream live online at Telemundo.com and the Telemundo News App.Videos
