Tammy Blanchard and Chris Sarandon will join CBS's 'The Good Wife' for its second season, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports.

Blanchard will play a "fair-minded assistant state's attorney who looks more like an indie-band drummer than a lawyer" who works for State's Attorney Glen Childs (Titus Welliver) and becomes friends with Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry).  Sarandon will have a recurring role as Judge Goode.

Jacob Pitts will guest star in the season's first episode as a website owner who is accused of murder, Ausiello reports.

Tammy Blanchard appeared in the 2003 Broadway revival of GYPSY as Louise, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award.  Her screen credits include 'Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows,' in which she played the young Judy Garland; she won an Emmy Award for her performance.  Her other screen credits 'Bella,' 'The Good Shepherd,' and 'Sybil.'

Chris Sarandon's screen credits include 'Dog Day Afternoon,' for which he was nominated for an Academy Award; 'The Princess Bride;' 'The Nightmare Before Christmas;' and 'Fright Night.'  He has appeared on Broadway in THE ROTHSCHILDS, THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA, NICK AND NORA, CYRANO DE BERGERAC, and THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA.

'The Good Wife' is a drama dealing with Alicia Florrick (Juliana Margulies), who returns to her former job as a lawyer when her husband is jailed following a scandal.  The show airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c.  For more information, visit http://www.cbs.com/primetime/the_good_wife/.
