Savannah Guthrie is heading down under for a special edition of NBC's TODAY, live from Sydney, Australia. Guthrie, who was born in Australia, is making the journey back with her mother, Nancy Guthrie, in honor of Mother's Day. "Savannah in Sydney" airs Monday, May 4.

While in Australia, Savannah and her mother will explore Sydney by air, land and sea giving TODAY viewers a look at the iconic sites including the Sydney Opera House, the Harbor Bridge and Bondi Beach. They will experience Australian culture, sample the local cuisine and wine, and of course meet the native animals. They will also visit the town where Savannah was born and reacquaint with old friends.
