Records are meant to be broken and NBC's TODAY is encouraging fans to come to Rockefeller Plaza to witness six exciting attempts to make history live on TODAY. Each day next week, a new Guinness World Records title will be challenged. "Spring Breakers TODAY," a week-long series, kicks off Monday, April 7.
Monday, April 7 - "Heaviest Vehicle Pulled in High Heels" and "Most Double-Dutch Skips by a Dog in One Minute" Canadian native Lia Grimanis will attempt to set the world record for the "Heaviest Vehicle Pulled in High Heels" by pulling a truck weighing over 10,000 pounds a distance of 16.4 feet across Rockefeller Plaza. In December 2013, Grimanis set the world record for "Heaviest Vehicle Pulled 100ft By a Female." Also on Monday, 2-year-old Boarder Collie and Kelpie cross, Geronimo, and her owner Samantha Valle will attempt to break the record for "Most Double-Dutch Skips by a Dog in One Minute." The last attempt to break this record took place in May 2012. Tuesday, April 8 - "Highest Team Trampoline Bounce" Trampoline team Sean, Eric and T.J. Kennedy, will set out to break the Guinness World Records record achievement for the "Highest Team Trampoline Bounce" by breaking their own record set in July 2013. The brothers, who have been trampolinists since they were in high school, have created an extreme trampoline team called Flippen Out and have performed for millions of people across the world.Videos
