THIRTEEN has announced the following episodes for the upcoming weeks of SUNDAYARTS: 

Sunday, December 25
12-12:30 p.m.
SUNDAYARTS #295 -- Weekly magazine providing the tri-state audience with a unique overview of the city's unparalleled cultural offerings with co-hosts Philippe de Montebello and Paula Zahn, both 2011 New York Emmy Award winners. This week, de Montebello hosts from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's new galleries for Islamic Art and explores the exhibit currently on view "Heroic Africans: Legendary Leaders, Iconic Sculptures." The Tenement Museum on New York's l ower east side is the focus of the "Weekly Profile," and the Langon Chapel at the Cloisters in Fort Tryon Park is the "Curator's  Choice." News correspondent Christina Ha, based at the New York Historical Society, reports on various events around town including: the "DiMenna Children's History Museum"; the "Holiday Train Show" at the New York Botanical Garden; "Picasso's Drawings, 1890-1921: Reinventing Tradition" at the Frick Collection; Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the New York City Center; and "Youth and Beauty: Art of the American Twenties" at the Brooklyn Museum.

De Montebello spotlights the Metropolitan Museum of Art's "New Galleries for the Art of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia." Jim Henson is this week's Feature Profile. And the National Museum of the American Indian's "Infinity of Nations" is the "Curator's Choice." De Montebello looks at the Diego Rivera murals at MoMA. Paula Zahn interviews Anna Deavere Smith in this week's Feature Profile. "Curator's Choice" features include "Joaquin Sorolla & the Glory of Spanish Dress" at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute, with commentary by Queen Sophia Spanish Institute Chairman Oscar de la Renta and curator Andre Leon Talley.
