Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy took a little time to enjoy THE VIEW, but now it appears they have had enough of the scenery.

Shepherd took to Twitter yesterday to reveal news of departure, posting: "The number 7 is God's number of completion & after 7 seasons my time at The View is now complete! So grateful 2 every1 4 their love & support"

She later Tweeted: "Incredibly grateful to my second mom Barbara Walters for pushing me beyond my comfort zone - it's been amazing doing it scared! #joy"

McCarthy, who only joined the show in 2013, quickly took to Twitter to share with her fans: "If Sherri goes ... I go too. #sisters" She later added: "My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year ... We will be back."

In a statement issued to Deadline, Shephard, 47, confirmed news of her exit, commenting: "After careful consideration, it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Gedde for giving me the opportunity. I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to myView family and my fans for supporting me on this journey."

Shepherd first began her time on the morning talkie as a guest co-host in 2006 and was named a permanent co-host the following year. McCarthy, 41, joined the show this past September following the departures of long-time View co-hosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar. In May, Barbara Walters departed the show to begin her retirement from journalism. Just this week, Walters made a quick return to the ABC show to plug her exclusive interview with the father of the Santa Barbara shooting suspect.
