THE REAL Kicks Off Second Season with Strong Ratings

THE REAL kicked off its season two premiere week on Monday with Bobby Brown in his first exclusive interview since the death of his daughter, Bobbi Kristina. The broadcast earned a 1.1/4 among households among primary airings, improving the September '14 time periods (0.8/3) by +38% in rating and +33% in share. Among the key W25-54 demo, yesterday's debut earned a 1.0/7, maintaining the prior year debut rating and recruiting viewers, up +17% (+1 share) over its lead-in.

The series had a strong season opener in New York posting a 1.5/11 with W25-54, ranking number-one in the time period in that key demo and beating THE VIEW (1.4/10). "The Real" improved its year ago debut rating (0.9/6), up +67% rating and showed strong recruitment over its "Wendy Williams" lead-in yesterday, up +57% share (+4 share points)

In key FOX O&O primary airings, "The Real" posted a 1.2/8 with W25-54, improving +9% over the prior year debut episode (1.1/7). The series exhibits strong recruitment on FOX O&Os, up +14% (+1 share) over its lead-in ("Wendy Williams" is the lead-in program in 12 of the 15 key FOX O&O clearances).

Today's (Tuesday) show features Sanaa Lathan, star of the #1 movie in the country, The Perfect Guy. On Wednesday, Hurricane Katrina hero Mike Maroney is reunited with the young girl he rescued, and Thursday's show brings a young aspiring model face-to-face with her biggest idol. The week wraps up with BROOKLYN NINE-NINE actor Terry Crews and the return of fan-favorite "Gab Bag."
