THE PRICE IS RIGHT to Introduce New Pricing Game, 9/23
Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show THE PRICE IS RIGHT, daytime's #1-rated series and the longest-running game show in television history, kicks off its 42nd season with two huge events: the introduction of a new pricing game, "Do The Math," and a special all-Plinko episode celebrating the 30th anniversary of the fan-favorite game, during its season premiere week, Monday, Sept. 23 - Friday Sept. 27 (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT).
On Monday, Sept. 23, one lucky contestant will be the first to play "Do The Math," a brand-new pricing game debuting this season. In "Do The Math," the contestant is shown a prize, an amount of money and a second prize. They then have to solve an equation: does the price of the first prize plus the amount of cash in The Middle equal the price of the second prize, or does the price of the first prize minus the amount of cash in The Middle equal the price of the second prize? If they solve the equation correctly, the contestant wins both prizes plus the cash. "Do The Math" is the first new game to be introduced since "Double Cross" premiered in June 2012.
On Friday, Sept. 27, THE PRICE IS RIGHT celebrates the 30th anniversary of "Plinko" with a special all-Plinko episode when all six contestants who make it on stage will have the opportunity to play the iconic game. In addition to Being able to win money, some of the contestants will drop chips for the opportunity to win prizes such as a new car, a trip to London, an air hockey table and an elliptical trainer.
Additional prizes up for grabs during premiere week include a hot tub, a powerboat, a new motorcycle, a new snowmobile, a 70-inch 3D HDTV, trips to Tahiti, Japan, Italy, Argentina, Ireland and more.
