BROOKLYN FAMILY ROBINSON follows "the patriarch of a family...who relocates his family from city life to island life".

David Reynolds (Finding Nemo) has been tapped to pen the project from his, Charlie Hartsock and Vance DeGeneres' original idea.

Carell will next be seen in Disney's Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day, which will hit theaters on October 10.

The actor also stars in Foxcatcher, which will launch at TIFF. The Minions, a follow-up to the first two Despicable Me films, is also in Carell's queue.
