Seth Meyers Set For New LIVE! WITH KELLY Co-Host?

According to Showbiz411.com, Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers is currently the lead contender to take over permanent co-hosting duties on ABC's LIVE! WITH KELLY this September. Disney TV, ABC and producer Michael Gellman will soon make a final decision as to who will fill the co-host chair recently vacated by Regis Philbin.

According to the report, the network has narrowed down its search to three finalists, Meyers, former football star Michael Strahan, and singer/musician Josh Groban. On Monday, July 9, Meyers will join Ripa for a five-day run, marking the first time a co-host has stayed on board for that period of time since Neil Patrick Harris visited the show from November 28 - December 2 of 2011.

Meyers is currently head writer on NBC's SNL where he is best known for his 'Weekend Update' news segment. His film credits include the  3D film Journey to the Center of the Earth. He is currently writing and will star in the film Key Party. Meyers recently co-hosted the morning show with Ripa in April and May of this year.
