Scoop: WHITNEY on NBC - Wednesday, January 9, 2013"2 BROKE HEARTS"

01/09/2013 (08:00PM - 08:30PM) (Wednesday) : 'TIL DEATH DO US HEART - While trying to uncover what has been making Alex's (Chris D'Elia) allergies flare , Whitney (Whitney Cummings) reveals a heart condition that has plagued her since childhood. Meanwhile, Lily (Zoe Lister-Jones) introduces the gang to her new beau, but they find that he tends to have a hard time getting to the point and Mark (Dan O'Brien), Roxanne (Rhea Seehorn) and R.J. (Tone Bell) find themselves rushing to finish his sentences.

NBC's multi-camera comedy "Whitney" is a hilarious look at modern day love, which centers around Whitney (Whitney Cummings, "Chelsea Lately") and Alex (Chris D'Elia, "Glory Daze"), a happily unmarried couple. Together for three years, the duo is in no rush to get hitched.

The couple is surrounded by their quirky group of friends, Zoe Lister-Jones ("The Other Guys"), Rhea Seehorn ("The Starter Wife"), Dan O'Brien ("How I Met Your Mother"), and Tone Bell (new to the second season of the show).

At the end of the day, Whitney and Alex realize that while their relationship might not be perfect on paper, they really do love each other -- and that works for them.

The series is produced by Universal Television and Bluegrass Television. The executive producers are Scott Stuber ("The Breakup"), Quan Phung, Wil Calhoun ("Friends") and Barry Katz ("Last Comic Standing") are executive producers along with Cummings who is the executive producer/writer and Andy Ackerman ("Seinfeld") who is executive producer/director.
