Scoop: THE VIEW on ABC - September 24 -28, 2012
As previously announced, President Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, and First Lady Michelle Obama make their first joint appearance on “The View,” TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Rapper/singer and now “American Idol” judge Nicki Minaj is the featured guest SEPTEMBER 24, as Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas co-hosts, and the hosts welcome legendary comedienne Carol Burnett, Tim Conway and Vicki Lawrence from one of television’s most memorable, beloved and celebrated variety shows, “The Carol Burnett Show.” This talk show appearance marks their first as a trio.
Julie Bowen (ABC’s “Modern Family”), Vanessa Williams (“666 Park Avenue”) and Jennifer Morrison (ABC’s “Once Upon a Time”) are featured guests. Each week, “Reality Show Roundup” will feature the eliminated couple from “Dancing with the Stars: All Stars.”
Scheduled guests for the week of SEPTEMBER 24-28 are as follows (subject to change):
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 – Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas is the featured guest co-host; newly appointed “American Idol” judge Nicki Minaj; Carol Burnett, Tim Conway and Vicki Lawrence (“The Carol Burnett Show”) make their first joint talk show appearance.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 – President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama make their first joint appearances as part of the show’s continuing “Red, White & View” campaign.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 – Julie Bowen (ABC’s “Modern Family”); lawyer and political commentator Ann Coulter (author, Mugged); musical guest Dwight Yoakam.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27– Actress Vanessa Williams (ABC’s “666 Park Avenue”); “Reality Show Roundup” features a performance from the first eliminated couple from “Dancing with the Stars: All Stars.”
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 – “Guy Day Friday” with guest co-host Andy Cohen; actor Damian Lewis (“Homeland”); Jennifer Morrison (“ABC’s “Once Upon a Time”); “What’s it Worth?,” featuring celebrity properties with real estate expert Michael Corbett.

In 2008-09, the five spirited hosts of ABC’s popular talk and entertainment show, “The View,” left an indelible mark on the political landscape. Whether discussing the day’s political headlines, from the war in Iraq to universal healthcare and teen pregnancy, the latest musings from our nation’s capitol or political infidelities, the outspoken hosts can always be relied on for their unique opinions, quick wit and sparking colorful water cooler conversations that can only be seen, live, exclusively on “The View” (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) on the ABC Television Network. In September 2008, the show launched a successful “Red, White & View” campaign highlighting interviews and informational segments that helped promote civic responsibility during the election season.
