This Sunday: Is Russia a real partner in the Syrian crisis? There were strong words on Capitol Hill this week after Senate Foreign Relations Chair Bob Menendez (D-NJ) said an op-ed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the New York Times almost made him "vomit." We'll talk exclusively with Senator Menendez as well as Armed Services Committee member Roy Blunt (R-MO).
Then: With Russia's President Putin trying to reassert his power on the world stage, how has the Syrian saga affected the global balance of power? Is America still a superpower? We'll get the latest reporting and analysis on the diplomatic efforts from New York Times Columnist Tom Friedman; Senior Fellow at the Wilson Center Robin Wright; National Correspondent for The Atlantic and Columnist for Bloomberg View, Jeffrey Goldberg; and NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
Also Sunday: On the five year anniversary of the biggest economic crash since the Great Depression, David sits down with the man who was manning the ship at the center of the storm, former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson. Plus, the top lawmaker in the effort to regulate Wall Street after the crisis, Fmr. Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and CNBC's Maria Bartiromo.
And: How has President Obama handled the crisis in Syria and how will the crisis affect the rest of his agenda? Our political roundtable weighs in: Associate Editor at the Washington Post, Bob Woodward; Executive Editor of MSNBC.com and author of "The Message: The Reselling of President Obama," Richard Wolffe; Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker; and Republican Strategist Ana Navarro.
David Gregory is the moderator of "Meet the Press." Rob Yarin is the executive producer, Adam Verdugo is the senior producer, Chris Donovan and Ilana Marcus Drimmer are producers.
