Scoop: BACHELOR IN PARADISE - *Season Premiere* on ABC - Sunday, August 2, 2015

Looking for a second chance at love on the two-night season premiere of "Bachelor in Paradise," beginning SUNDAY, AUGUST 2 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network, the cast arrive one by one to their own private Paradise in the gorgeous town of Sayulita, located in Vallarta-Nayarit, Mexico. Welcomed by Chris Harrison, the cast quickly gets acquainted at a Bachelor-style cocktail party on the shores of Playa Escondida. The mood changes quickly when the Mystery Woman enters Paradise, and the cast is shocked to learn who she is. Breaking the tension, Chris Harrison interrupts to explain the rules of Paradise and one shocking twist. This week, the men will hand out a rose to someone they'd like to spend more time getting to know and the women who do not receive roses will have to leave Paradise forever. Then, he informs the group he has one more surprise in store.

Throughout the episode, date cards arrive for two lucky women who get a chance to ask out a man they'd like to spend alone time with, though it's not without causing drama. The first of many love triangles is quickly formed between a fixated Ashley I., her crush Jared, and sought-after Jade. When Ashley I. receives the first date card, she is overjoyed and asks out Jared. Despite his reluctance, the two head off on an adventurous date, riding an ATV through the jungle to a private beach where they both open up about their feelings and ultimately form a connection. After returning to Playa Escondida, Ashley I. soon discovers that Jade has also received a date card and fears that she may encroach on her claimed man. Jade decides to ask out Tanner, hoping to build on their chemistry and they enjoy a romantic dinner and dip in the pool.

Back at the house, Ashley S. becomes ill and must be taken by ambulance to the hospital. With dates being had and couples forming, all seems to be well in Paradise. That is until Clare from last season unexpectedly enters and changes everything.

"Episode 201B" - On MONDAY, AUGUST 3 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network, "Bachelor in Paradise" continues when Clare returns with a date card in hand and a mission to find herself a man. To her disappointment, all of the guys that she's into seem to be taken. Mikey T. seizes the opportunity by inviting himself on the date and without any other options, Clare accepts. The pair head off to an uncomfortably intimate session of tantric yoga followed by a swim under a waterfall. They soon discover their feelings are not mutual.

Later, Ashley S. receives a date card and chooses Dan to accompany her. The blossoming couple travel to old town Puerto Vallarta for a romantic dinner, where they discuss Ashley S.'s infamous crazy girl reputation. Back at the house, Ashley I. becomes increasingly nervous that she may be losing her grip on Jared, as some of the uncoupled women start making moves. Then at the first rose ceremony of the season, the men hand out the roses and one woman is forced to leave paradise.

Jillian Anderson, 25, News Producer, Washington DC - "The Bachelor," Season 19 (Chris)
This news producer scored a one-on-one date with Chris Soules when she won the mud run, but unfortunately, not a rose as Chris sent her home that night. With her rockin' bikini bod, Jillian vows she will make a better impression in Paradise.

Ashley Salter, 25, Hair Stylist, Alpharetta, GA - "The Bachelor," Season 19 (Chris)
Who can forget the onion girl? Beautiful Ashley S. made quite the impression on Chris with her bizarre antics, and, unfortunately, she was sent home. After explaining her behavior at "Women Tell All" by claiming she was "just bored," it's safe to say Paradise will be much more interesting with Ashley.

Jade Roper, 28, Cosmetics Developer, Los Angeles, CA - "The Bachelor," Season 19 (Chris)
Jade was falling hard for Chris, so much so that she brought him to meet her family and revealed her risque past, only to be dumped a few days later. Hopefully for Jade, the guys in Paradise will be more open-minded and appreciate dating a "wild mustang."

Carly Waddell, 29, Cruise Ship Singer, Arlington, TX - "The Bachelor," Season 19 (Chris)
Vying for the heart of Chris Soules, Carly got caught up in drama with Britt on her season of "The Bachelor" and Chris ultimately sent both women home. In Paradise, she's hoping to form a real connection and is ready to woo the men with her sultry singing voice.

Clare Crawley, 34, Hair Stylist, Sacramento, CA - "The Bachelor," Season 18 (Juan Pablo) and "Bachelor in Paradise," Season 1
Things didn't work out for Clare with Juan Pablo, or with Zack last summer on Bachelor in Paradise," but at least she made a new best friend in Mexico -- a raccoon. Hopefully, this year Clare finds a lasting relationship with a man in Paradise.

Ashley Iaconneti, 27, Freelance Journalist, Wayne, NJ - "The Bachelor," Season 19 (Chris)
After getting the dreaded two-on-one date, Ashley I. was blindsided by Chris Soules when he let her go and left her in tears in the Badlands. Hopefully in Paradise Ashley will finally meet her Prince Charming…or she will need a lot of waterproof mascara!

Tenley Mohlzan, 30, Nutritionist, Encinitas, CA - "The Bachelor," Season 14 (Jake) and "Bachelor Pad," Season 1
After being dumped by Jake Pavelka when he proposed to Vienna, and then having her heart broken last year by her "Bachelor Pad" love, Kiptyn, Tenley is ready for her happy ending. Hopefully, Paradise will prove the third time really is the charm for Tenley!

Juelia Kinney, 30, Full-Time Mom, Portland, OR - "The Bachelor," Season 19 (Chris)
This single mom broke Chris' heart when she told him the story of losing her husband to suicide. Despite knowing he and Juelia weren't a good match, Chris Soules was in tears when he sent her home. Hopefully, for Juelia everything will finally fall into place in Paradise.

Mystery Woman
This sexy mystery woman comes to Paradise this season with an attitude and connections that are sure to shock everyone. There's no telling what kind of drama could ensue as she joins the group on her own quest for true love.

Dan Cox, 32, Small Business Owner, Las Vegas - "The Bachelorette," Season 9 (Desiree)
Dan didn't put himself out there fast enough to grab Desiree's attention so she sent him home early. Paradise is his chance to make a real connection and hopefully be remembered for more than just ripping his pants.

Kirk Dewindt, 32, Personal Trainer, Minneapolis, MN - "The Bachelorette," Season 6 (Ali) and "Bachelor Pad," Season 2
Though Kirk failed to win Ali's heart, he did make quite the impression on viewers with the help of his taxidermist father. Hopefully, this franchise veteran has better luck finding love in Paradise than he did winning money on "Bachelor Pad."

Mikey Tenerelli, 33, Business Owner, Winfield, IL - "The Bachelorette," Season 9 (Desiree)
Mikey failed to win Des' heart on his season but may have gotten out at the perfect time as his conversation with fellow contestant James Case was the controversy of the season just one week after Mikey was sent home. With his priorities in line this time and a fresh outlook on life and love, Mikey comes to Paradise vowing to make a more positive impression.

Jonathan Holloway, 33, Automotive Spokesperson, Sylvan Lake, MI - "The Bachelorette," Season 11 (Kaitlyn)
Single dad Jonathan, did not form a connection with Kaitlyn, which wasn't too surprising because he wanted the Bachelorette to be Britt. Hopefully, for Jonathan the girls in Paradise will be his type.

JJ Lane, 32, Former Investment Banker, Parker, CO - "The Bachelorette," Season 11 (Kaitlyn)
The most controversial man from Kaitlyn's season was polarizing to fans and fellow contestants' alike. But he showed Kaitlyn a very different side prior to her sending him home during his two-on-one date with Joe Bailey. JJ is sure to bring both his heart and plenty of controversy to the beach this summer.

Tanner Tolbert, 27, Auto Finance Manager, Olathe, KS - "The Bachelorette," Season 11 (Kaitlyn)
Despite his biting humor and honest takes, Tanner failed to make the impression he hoped to make on Kaitlyn's season of "The Bachelorette," despite advancing to the final 10 men in Ireland. He comes to Paradise intent on making a lasting impression, having some fun, and maybe even meeting the girl of his dreams.

Jared Haibon, 26, Restaurant Manager, Warwick, RI - "The Bachelorette," Season 11 (Kaitlyn)
Jared left Kaitlyn's season heartbroken after she unexpectedly sent him home in a tearful goodbye, prior to hometown dates. Jared comes to Paradise in hopes of mending his wounded heart and finding the girl of his dreams, similar to Marcus before he found Lacy in Paradise.
