Sam Trammell to Star in 'Guns, Girls, and Gambling'

Actor Sam Trammell will appear in the film 'Guns, Girls, and Gambling' along with Dane Cook, Gary Oldman, and Christian Slater, Variety reports. Trammell will play the role of a sheriff in the film, which tells of the hunt for a Native American artifact stolen during a casino poker game, Variety reports.

The film is written and directed by Michael Winnick and producted by Freefall Films.  Filming has recently begun in Utah, Variety reports.

Trammell plays Sam Merlotte on the television series 'True Blood.'  His stage credits include AH, WILDERNESS!, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award, as well as DEALER'S CHOICE, MY NIGHT WITH REG, IF MEMORY SERVES, ANCESTRAL VOICES, and KIT MARLOWE.
