When we last left the Winchesters, Dean had finally cracked under the pressure and curse of the Mark of Cain. Unable to teeter the edge any longer, the elder Winchester had slaughtered an entire house of humans, albeit terrible ones. He had been suffering from Mark induced nightmares that had finally come into fruition in the last moment, in order to feed his thirst for murder and chaos, and in his eyes, save himself. Sam looked on in horror as he looked into his brothers cold, unforgiving eyes.

Castiel had found himself in a bind as well as Claire, his vessel's daughter, had reappeared. She was a juvenile delinquent hanging out with the wrong people and the downtrodden angel felt a connection to her; it was his duty to help the girl whose family he had torn apart. Over on Crowley's end, the King of Hell had accepted his mother, the witch Rowena, into his fold.

Crowley had been playing a nice game of Hide-N-Seek with his demon friends in his dreams when Rowena interrupted her darling son to help him through his nightmares. But it turned out the motherly instincts were only an act as the witch revealed a hex bag hiding under Crowley's throne. Since when were demon's thwarted by hex bags? Crowley and Rowena fought over her horrible job as a mother and all of Crowley's whining and separation anxiety boiled down to his three hundred year old mommy issues.

Over at the bunker, Castiel was upset that Claire wasn't speaking with him, even though he had saved her life from her terrible "comrades." Dean interrupted to finally admit that he had been a "stone-cold killer." He had crossed the line and it was time for help. The Mark of Cain had to go, even though his curse dated back to the time of Creation; it wasn't just a silly supernatural problem that could be solved with some holy water and salt.

Castiel decided that the best course of action to help Dean was to call on the angels to deliver him Metatron, who was delighted to hear of Dean's issues. Dean looked on with a cold stare, hungry for some Metatron blood.

Castiel tried to appeal to Claire, but the teen refused to accept the angel's help, especially since he looked like her father with a trench coat and a raspy voice. Claire didn't care that her friends were the worst ever because in her eyes Dean was just as bad. Castiel admitted there was a little monster in all of them, which only fueled Claire's desire to leave.

Although Metatron, the dickwad, found complete joy in Dean's transformation, he seemed a little scared of Dean and his strength. Metatron confessed that in order to even help Dean he had to come in contact with the First Blade once again, which meant Dean and his BFF Crowley had to come in contact again. Crowley was delighted to get away from his mother, oddly not thinking twice about the magic she could cook up. Although the witch couldn't join along in person, she made no hesitation to eavesdrop in spirit.

Rowena appealed to a former Crossroads demon, killing him in many thanks, and Castiel asked Dean to meet with Claire "one messed up human to another." Maybe Dean would be the one to get through to the rebellious teenager. Crowley went to retrieve the First Blade only to find it missing from its containment. Rowena proceeded to manipulate Crowley to turn on his own people, exclaiming that his demon minion had stolen it.

Claire used two drifters as her new found therapists, which screamed: excellent idea! Meanwhile, Metatron tried blackmailing Dean, which was another really excellent idea against a murder-hungry ex-demon.

Metatron held his ground, goading him into becoming darker. Blaming Dean for Kevin's death and calling him Crowley's bromance was enough for the eldest Winchester. It was either Metatron give him the next step to removing the Mark or he would kill the Scribe of God. Castiel used his powers to blow out the door to stop Dean, but he had to return Metatron to Heaven in order to keep his peace with the other angels. The only information they now had to go on was a cryptic message Metatron had expounded about the river ending at the source. Sam gave a poignant speech about Dean being part of the problem when it came to giving into the Mark's powers, but was interrupted by Claire calling Dean and agreeing to meet him in person.

Apparently Claire's drifter friends thought they were pretty darn tough as they tried to murder Dean upon his arrival to meet Claire. Claire called out for them to stop, but Dean was able to defend himself against the two. Thankfully, no murder was served up and Dean walked off, angry. Castiel wasn't far behind as he caught up with Claire to once again offer his help, but she again denied, choosing to forge her own path.

Things we need to discuss:

- I'm already tired of Rowena and her manipulative games against Crowley.

- Poor Crowley just wanted to hang out, grab a beer, and see a movie with his Winchester bros.

- "Holla! I'll text you her number." - Castiel. What do you think is Castiel's favorite emoji?

- How much do you love evil Dean?

What's your favorite emoji? Do you prefer Castiel with or without a tie? Do you wish Dean had finally rid of Metatron? Comment below or tweet me @enr702 or catch me live-tweeting @erinrlivetweets.
