Mario Cantone -- comedian, actor and Broadway star -- is taking the stage this summer with a new stand-up routine called ON THE WAY TO BROADWAY, which features his signature, irreverent humor and wickedly funny impersonations. Cantone just stopped by AOL HQ to talk about the show, which he hopes to actually bring to the Great White Way, and more. Watch the interview below!

Best known for his role as the sassy wedding planner on Sex and the City and colorful stints as a guest host on THE VIEW, Cantone gained critical acclaim on Broadway for his Tony Award-nominated one-man show LAUGH WHORE, which later aired on Showtime. He also appeared on Broadway in ASSASSINS and LOVE! VALOR! COMPASSION!

Cantone has performed his stand-up comedy at a wide range of venues, including Carnegie Hall, Caroline's on Broadway and Gotham Comedy. Over the years, his routines have included musical parodies of Judy Garland, Jim Morrison, Peggy Lee, Bruce Springsteen and Liza Minnelli.

On Comedy Central, Cantone's performances have been featured on The USO Comedy Tour, Chappelle's Show, and various other network specials. Other television appearances include Late Night with David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Oprah and The Today Show.
