Korean film director Dae Kyu Lee has released a trailer for his film Rendezvous Point, a drama which takes place in the near future during an inevitable second Korean War. A Korean army platoon was sent on a recon mission and gets ambushed by North Korean soliders. Corporal Yoon-Seok Kang is the only survivor from his platoon. He  gets lost in the woods with a bullet wound in his leg. He  meets Private Charlie Brown, an American Army solider, who is  also lost in the woods after going MIA.

The short film will be shown as part of the New Filmmakers New York Presents Spring Festival on April 8. For more information, click here.

Director Dae Kyu Lee states: "As a man of South Korea I did my duty in the Army. While I was serving my country I could never get the idea out of my head, thinking, 'What if the war breaks out again?' All the training and field exercises we did were on assumption of North Korea's invasion. What will happen to my life if there's a war? My friends and family, and to my unfulfilled dreams? This film is about tragedy in one's life because of war. The U.S. military is stationed in South Korea since the Korean war. I wanted to show the different views of Korean and American soliders at war as they build relationships. And about the political alliance between the two countries since The Korean war(in 1950). Korea is the only existing country in the world that is divided into two countries. North and South Korea are in a state of armistice."

Dae Kyu Lee was born in Seoul, Korea. He spent his youth in the United States. He graduated from Dongguk University in Korea where he made a handful of short films. He is currently in the MFA Program at New York Film Academy in Universal Studios Hollywood.
