Manu Bennett, best known for his portrayal as rebel Crixus on SPARTACUS, has signed on for a multi-episode arc on The CW's ARROW, TVGuide.com confirmed this evening.

Bennett is set to take on Slade Wilson - the man who becomes one of DC Comics' most well known villains, Deathstroke. The masked character has previously appeared on ARROW via flashback (and was also played by a different actor)

As Entertainment Weekly reported earlier, Slade will primarily be seen during flashbacks while he and Oliver develop a semi-alliance on the island.

Bennett can also be seen Peter Jackson's upcoming adaptation of THE HOBBIT.

There's no word yet on when Bennett's first episode will be, or for how long he'll be featured on the series. BWW TV WORLD will keep you updated as more details emerge.
