SNL Down in Ratings with Host Christoph Waltz

Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live with host Christoph Waltz and musical guest Alabama Shakes was down from last week's episode, in which Justin Bieber took the reins. The episode scored a 2.5 rating this week, down two-tenths from last week's 2.7 rating.

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, last night's "Saturday Night Live" averaged a 2.5 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49. "SNL" delivered the top rating of the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in the Local People Meters, more than doubling all primetime programming on those networks in 18-49.

Saturday Primetime Results:

* At 8 p.m. ET, "American Ninja Warrior" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers overall, tying for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in the time period in adults 18-49 and ranking #1 among those networks in adults, men and women 18-34.

* At 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Chicago Fire" earned a 0.4/1 in 18-49 and 1.8 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Chicago Fire" grew by 13 percent in total viewers (1.9 million vs. 1.6 million).

* At 10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live," with host and musical guest Justin Bieber (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall) Built on its 18-49 lead-in by 75 percent. The "SNL" encore grew from its first half-hour to its second by 13 percent in adults 25-54 (to a 0.9 rating from a 0.8) and 13 percent in total viewers (2.3 million vs. 2.1 million).
