Rumer Willis Set for Recurring Role on Hit FOX Drama EMPIRE

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rumer Willis, who recently made her Broadway debut as Roxy Hart in CHICAGO, has signed on for a recurring role in the hit FOX drama EMPIRE.

The actress will take on the role of Tory Ash, described as "a brilliant but volatile singer-songwriter whose talent becomes invaluable to Jamal (Jussie Smollett) as he creates his most important musical work yet. Her own attempt to make a crossover comeback and her unwillingness to shy away from controversy will have ripple effects throughout Empire."

Willis joins previously announces Season Three guest stars Mariah Carey, Taye Diggs, Phylicia Rashad, French Montana, Birdman, Romeo Miller and Sierra McClain on the musically-themed series. Her previous TV appearances have included roles on 90210 and Hawaii Five-0. Her film credits include What Lies Ahead, The House Bunny, and the upcoming movie musical Hello, Again. The singer and dancer won the mirror ball trophy on ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS.

Empire's mid-season finale will air on December 4th. The hip-hop drama will return for the second half of its third season on March 22nd. EMPIRE airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
