RED BAND SOCIETY Tour Gives Fans the Opportunity to See the New Dramedy and Raise Awareness for Four Charities
This summer, FOX hits the road with the "RED BAND SOCIETY Tour: Banding Together For Good." On the tour, fans in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago and Atlanta (additional cities to be announced soon) may donate to one of four charities, while being the first to meet the cast and see advance screenings of the new FOX series RED BAND SOCIETY. The series is a provocative, unconventional and unique coming-of-age dramedy about a group of unlikely and rule-bending friends and the adults who mentor them through the ups and downs of adolescence in Los Angeles' Ocean Park Hospital.
Fans can attend an advance screening of RED BAND SOCIETY's first episode and interact with cast members during a post-screening Q&A, by RSVPing at www.redbandsocietytour.com. Donations are not required to attend. The tour will feature different cast members in each city, such as Octavia Spencer, Dave Annable, Astro, Ciara Bravo, Griffin Gluck, Zoe Levin, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Charlie Rowe and Nolan Sotillo, as well as executive producer Margaret Nagle.
In RED BAND SOCIETY, the characters live their lives while facing a number of illnesses, including cancer, cystic fibrosis, heart failure and eating disorders, which millions of young Americans confront each day. "RED BAND SOCIETY Tour: Banding Together For Good" will raise awareness and give fans the opportunity to support four amazing charities, including Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Ryan Seacrest Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Teen Cancer America. Fans may donate to the above charities when they RSVP for the events at www.redbandsocietytour.com.
During the tour, the cast members will visit various children's hospitals to meet patients, participate in arts and crafts, as well as conduct interviews and a Q&A through the Ryan Seacrest Foundation broadcast media centers, Seacrest Studios. In addition, cast members will visit UCLA's Daltrey/Townshend Teen and Young Adult Cancer Center on which the series' own pediatric ward is based. Fans may donate to the above charities when they RSVP for the events at www.redbandsocietytour.com. Use the hashtag #redbandsociety at the screening and receive an exclusive RED BAND SOCIETY T-shirt.

About RED BAND SOCIETY
From Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television and starring Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer, Annable and a charismatic cast of fresh faces, RED BAND SOCIETY explores everything from strong friendships and first loves, to humorous mishaps and heartbreaks. Airing Wednesday nights this fall on FOX, RED BAND SOCIETY is a story of life with an edgy comedic tone all its own.
In the series, 12-year-old narrator CHARLIE (Griffin Gluck, "Back in the Game," "Private Practice") is in a coma and introduces us to this band of unlikely friends, including the "new kid," JORDI PALACIOS (Nolan Sotillo, "Prom"), a 16-year-old who illegally crosses the Mexican border into California to seek out treatment at the renowned hospital. What Jordi soon discovers is that it's not his illness that's going to change his life, but his new friends. Also at Ocean Park is LEO ROTH (Charlie Rowe, "Neverland," "Pirate Radio"), the 16-year-old, charming and independent "leader" of the group. Leo's best friend is DASH HOSNEY (Astro, "The X Factor"), a 16-year-old "rebel" with a big personality, who is determined not to let his cystic fibrosis stop him from living his life. Also on the ward is 15-year-old "know-it-all" EMMA CHOTA (Ciara Bravo, "Big Time Rush"), Leo's on-again-off-again girlfriend who is coping with an eating disorder. Rounding out this group of patients is KARA SOUDERS (Zoe Levin, "Arrested Development," "The Way Way Back"), a "mean girl" cheerleader who shares a room with Charlie. Although her heart is failing, she is realizing for the first time that she actually has one and begins opening it up to her new friends.
