Paula and Ed Kassig, the parents of American ISIS hostage Abdul-Rahman Kassig, sat down with NBC News' Peter Alexander in an interview which aired today, Monday, October 13 on TODAY.

Paula Kassig told Alexander:

"I'm hoping that he will somehow hear of some this - and of other conversations we've had or other times we've spoken in public. That way he will know that we haven't forgotten him. We haven't abandoned him. And we certainly do love him."
