According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tony winner Andrea Martin of Broadway's PIPPIN is set to lead the upcoming Canadian comedy WORKING THE ENGELS.

The series, written by Katie Ford and Jane Ford, will air 12 episodes in Toronto beginning this fall. Martin will star as 'Ceil Engel', the matriarch of the Engel family.

Martin just returned to the Broadway stage in PIPPIN tonight and has yet to announce her official Exit date from the production to begin filming for the sitcom. The veteran actress won a Tony this year for the revival, as well as 1992's My Favorite Year.

Martin's other Broadway credits include Exit the King, Young Frankenstein, Fiddler on the Roof, Funny Girl, Oklahoma! and Candide, and she has appeared off-Broadway in On the Town, The Exonerated, The Vagina Monologues, Nude Nude Totally Nude, Out of This World, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Sorrows of Stephen.
