With "Sunday Night Football," two editions of "The Voice" and "Peter Pan Live!" accounting for four of the week's top seven primetime programs on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, NBC has won the ratings week of Dec. 1-7 in 18-49 and total viewers, marking the network's ninth weeklong win in 11 weeks so far this fall in 18-49 and third victory in total viewers.

Also ranking in the top 30 for the week in 18-49 were "Christmas in Rockefeller Center," "A SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Christmas," "Chicago Fire" and "State of Affairs."

It's NBC's second straight total-viewer win and third in the last four weeks, marking the first time in nearly two years NBC has led three out of four weeks in total viewers without Olympic help. NBC last won two straight in-season weeks excluding Olympics during the weeks of Dec. 23 and Dec. 30, 2013 and last won three out of four weeks excluding Olympics when it took three in a row during the weeks of Dec. 17, Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, 2012.

According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 2.4 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 8.7 million viewers overall for the week.

NBC ranked #1 among the Big 4 networks for the Dec. 1-7 week in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers (including a tie with FOX in men 18-34) - as well as teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

"Sunday Night Football" ranked #1 among Big 4 primetime programs for the week in all of those key measures, plus teens 12-17.

Also ranking among the week's top 30 primetime shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in 18-49 were Monday's "The Voice" (tied for #4), Tuesday's "Voice" (#6), Thursday's "Peter Pan Live!" (#7), Wednesday's "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" (tied for #16), Wednesday's "A SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Christmas" (tied for #16), Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" (tied for #23) and Monday's "State of Affairs" (tied for #26). Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.

For the season, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all key adult-male demos and tied for #1 with ABC in women 18-49 and women 25-54.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, and running within 1% of its year-ago average (9.956 million vs. 10.014 million), making this season and last NBC's two top-scoring seasons in total viewers at this point since 2006.

Primetime averages for the week of Dec. 1-7 in adults 18-49 are: NBC, 2.4/7; Fox, 1.9/6; ABC, 1.6/5; CBS, 1.3/4; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: NBC, 8.7 million; CBS, 7.2 million; ABC, 6.5 million; Fox, 5.8 million; and CW, 2.0 million.

"Most current" averages for the season to date are: NBC, 3.0/9; CBS, 2.6/8; ABC, 2.5/8; Fox, 2.1/7; and CW, 0.9/3. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 11.9 million; NBC, 10.0 million; ABC, 9.1 million; Fox, 6.3 million; and CW, 2.2 million.

NBC highlights for the week of Dec. 1-7:

Monday

NBC won Monday night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and total viewers, as "The Voice" (2.8/8 in 18-49, 11.3 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) ranked as the night's #1 telecast on those nets in both measures. "The Voice" also finished #1 among the Big 4 in adults 18-34 (1.9 rating) and adults 25-54 (3.6 rating) and rose +8% or 0.2 of a point in 18-49 from the previous week.

"Live Plus Three Day" Ratings: "The Voice" grew by +20% in 18-49 (from a 2.75 rating to a 3.30) and 1.4 million viewers overall (from 11.3 million to 12.7 million) going from "live plus same day" rating to L+3.

"State of Affairs" (1.6/5, 7.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) rose 0.2 of a point in 18-49 from the previous week and won the timeslot against all-original competition in 18-49 and 25-54.

L+3: "State of Affairs" grew by +40% in 18-49 (from a 1.60 rating to a 2.24 and 2.5 million viewers overall (from 7.0 million to 9.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

Week-to-week gains for "State of Affairs" increased significantly in L+3 results versus L+SD: while the week-to-week gains in L+SD were +15% in adult 18-49 rating (from a 1.39 to a 1.60) and nearly 1.7 million or +31% in total viewers (5.4 million vs. 7.0 million), the week-to-week gains in L+3 grew to +33% in 18-49 (1.69 to 2.24) and 2.8 million or +41% in total viewers (6.8 million to 9.6 million). Note that the prior week's "State of Affairs" was interrupted by coverage of a Presidential address.

Tuesday

NBC won Tuesday in 18-49 as "The Voice" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 11.2 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) rose week to week by +13% in 18-49 (from a 2.3 to a 2.6) and +20% or more than 1.8 million persons in total viewers (9.4 million to 11.2 million). "The Voice" ranked #1 in the time slot. "The Voice" also finished #1 among those networks in adults 18-34 (1.8 rating) and adults 25-54 (3.6 rating).

L+3: "The Voice" grew by +13% in 18-49 (from a 2.63 to a 2.98) and more than 1.0 million viewers overall (11.2 million to 12.3 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

"Marry Me" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m ET) grew +18% or 0.2 of a point in 18-49 versus the previous week.

L+3: "Marry Me" grew by +17% in 18-49 (from a 1.28 to a 1.50) and 429,000 viewers overall (4.6 million to 5.1 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

Upscale: "Marry Me'" is tied for #11 among primetime Big 4 series in its concentration of upscale viewers, indexing at a 137 for adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes, "most current").

"About a Boy" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) rose +10% or 0.1 in 18-49 from the prior week.

L+3: "About a Boy" grew by +26% in 18-49 (from a 1.07 to a 1.35) and 833,000 viewers overall (4.2 million to 5.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

"Chicago Fire" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew week to week by +6% or 0.1 of a point in 18-49 and won its timeslot handily. "Chicago Fire" also finished #1 in the time period in the adult 18-34 and adult 25-54 demos.

L+3: "Chicago Fire" grew by +52% in 18-49 (from a 1.68 to a 2.55) and 2.7 million viewers overall (7.4 million to 10.1 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

Wednesday

NBC tied for the Wednesday nightlong win in 18-49 with "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 9.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) and "A SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Christmas" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET). "A SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Christmas" won the 10 p.m. timeslot in adults 18-49 v versus original competition on ABC and CBS.

Thursday

"Peter Pan Live!" (2.4/7 in 18-49, 9.2 million viewers overall from 8-11 p.m. ET) captured NBC's second-most-watched non-sports Thursday in more than five years (since the "ER" finale, April 2, 2009), behind only last year's "Sound of Music Live!" over that span. In 18-49, "Peter Pan Live!" equaled NBC's second-highest-rated Thursday, excluding sports, in three-and-a-half years (since May 19, 2011, 2.5 for season finales), matching over that span Sept. 22, 2011 (2.4 for season premieres) and trailing only last year's "Sound of Music Live!"

"Peter Pan Live!" grew by +123% versus NBC's Thursday non-sports season average (9.2 million vs. 4.1 million, L+SD) and by 118% in 18-49 (2.4 vs. 1.1).

NBC ranked #1 for the night among the Big 4 in adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 18-34; adults and women 25-54; and total viewers. In adults 18-49, NBC won the night among the Big 4 by a +50% margin (with a 2.4 rating vs. a 1.6 for #2 CBS) and in adults 18-34, NBC's margin was +122% (2.0 vs. 0.9 for CBS).

With a 2.7 rating among kids 2-11, this is NBC's second-highest-rated non-sports Thursday in more than 10 years (since the "Friends' finale on May 6, 2004). The 2.7 among kids 2-11 makes this the top-rated night on any Big 4 network on any night of the week since ABC's Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2 (3.1).

NBC ranked #1 or tied for #1 for a fifth night in a row (Sunday, Nov. 30 through Thursday, Dec. 4) among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in 18-49, marking the first time any network has ranked #1 for five consecutive nights in the past year, since NBC won six in a row (including a tie) from Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 through Friday Dec. 6.

L+3: In "live plus three day" results, "Peter Pan Live!" grew by +21% in adults 18-49 (from a 2.36 to a 2.85) and 1.8 million viewers (9.2 million to 11.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

In kids 2-11, "Peter Pan Live!" grew by +61% from L+SD to L+3 (from a 2.67 rating to a 4.31). That moves "Peter Pan Live!" ahead of "The Sound of Music Live!" (3.88 in L+3) among kids 2-11. In L+SD, "Peter Pan" averaged a 2.67 in kids 2-11 versus "Sound of Music's" 3.05.

Friday

The holiday special "How Murray Saved Christmas" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) maintained its adult 18-49 rating from half-hour to half-hour and grew by +20% in women 18-34 (0.5 to 0.6) and +8% in women 25-54 (1.3 to 1.4).

"Grimm" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in by +33% in adults 18-49 and +39% in total viewers. "Grimm" retained 100% of the prior week's 1.2 rating in adults 18-49, despite increased competition this week from Fox's college football.

L+3: The prior week's "Grimm" grew by +74% in 18-49 (from a 1.24 to a 2.16) and more than 2.4 million viewers overall (5.2 million to 7.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

"Constantine" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) maintained 100% of its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.8) and adults 25-54 (1.1 vs. 1.1), despite the 10 p.m. hour.

L+3: The previous week's "Constantine" increased by +63% in 18-49 (from a 0.90 to a 1.47) and 1.4 million viewers overall (3.3 million to 4.7 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

Saturday

From 8-11 p.m., an encore telecast of the 1946 movie classic "It's a Wonderful Life" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers) equaled NBC's highest Saturday 18-49 primetime average of the season, best since the Purdue-Notre Dame COLLEGE FOOTBALL telecast on Sept. 13 scored a 0.9. From its first half-hour to its sixth, "It's a Wonderful Life" grew by +80% in adults 18-49 (from a 0.5 to a 0.9), +75% in adults 25-54 (0.8 to 1.4) and +66% or 2.0 million persons in total viewers (3.1 million to 5.1 million). It was NBC's 37th primetime telecast of "Wonderful Life" since the classic was brought to broadcast network television in 1994.

Sunday:

NBC Sports' "Sunday Night Football" (7.1/20 in 18-49, 21.2 million viewers overall from 8:31-11:33 p.m. ET), featuring the New England Patriots at the San Diego Chargers, led NBC to nightlong wins among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

It was the most-watched regular-season primetime NFL telecast featuring the Chargers since Monday, Nov. 27, 1995 (Raiders-Chargers on ABC, 21.6 million)

Versus the Week 14 game of one year ago, Sunday's Patriots-Chargers CONTEST was up +3% in 18-49 rating (7.1 vs. 6.9) and up +11% in total viewers (21.2 million vs. 19.1 million).

For the night, NBC led among the Big 4 by a +44% margin over #2 FOX in adults 18-49 (with a 5.9 rating from 7:30-11 p.m. for NBC vs. a 4.1 from 7-10 for Fox). In total viewers, the nightlong margin over #2 FOX was +59% (17.7 million vs. 11.2 million).
