BOXEO Telemundo FORD the number one boxing program in Spanish in the United States, presents the fourth and final fight of its Summer Season from the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida, this Friday, July 15 at 11:35PM/10:35C, when Puerto Rican champion Orlando "el Fenómeno" Cruz will defend his NABO Super Featherweight title against Mexico's Alex Valdez. The 10-round fight, narrated by the experienced René Giraldo and Edgar López, will also be available on Telemundo Deportes digital platforms.

This will be second time that Orlando "el Fenómeno" Cruz (23-4-1, 11KO), ranked number 5 in the Super Featherweight category by the World Boxing Organization, is called upon to defend his title this year. The first time out, he successfully fended off a challenge from Mexico's Rómulo Koasicha in another memorable encounter featured on "Boxeo Telemundo Ford." Cruz won two important fights in 2015, defeating fellow Puerto Rican Edwin "Bazookita" López by TKO-4 in June and receiving a decision in his favor following 10 rounds in October against Mexico's Gabino "Flash" Cota. He has announced that he will dedicate this Friday's fight to the victims of the June 13 nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida.

His opponent, Alex Valdez (26-7-2, 20KO), will be taking the ring for the first time this year. Valdez fought only once in 2015, knocking out his countryman Carlos Joan "el Relámpago" Jacobo in the eighth round.

The Fall Season of "Boxeo Telemundo Ford" is scheduled to begin on September 30 with a lineup that is yet to be confirmed.
