One Direction Filming Follow Up to THIS IS US

According to, One Direction's 3D concert film "One Direction: This Is Us" has been granted a sequel.: the 2013 movie's director, Morgan Spurlock, the movie's director has confirmed that the boys of One Direction are currently being videotaped on their Where We Are world tour, with plans to return the quintet to the silver screen.

"Yes, there will be a follow-up to 'This Is Us,'" Spurlock told the U.K.'s Mirror. "At this moment [producer] Ben Winston is with the band on their world tour filming what happens. He worked with me and is a great producer."

One Direction kicked off their stadium tour this April, and will be on the road through the fall. Although "This Is Us" did not earn any nominations in the musical categories at the Academy Awards, Spurlock would like to see its follow-up take home the gold.

"I know [producer] Simon Cowell wants the band to get awards for this and was upset when they missed out on being nominated in the music category for an Oscar on our film," says Spurlock. "It was a good song and I was surprised that they weren't even considered. This time he will want them to try again."
