NewFilmmakers is a unique Screening Series now in its eighteenth year that gives new filmmakers the opportunity to screen their films in New York Los Angeles, and Online.

On Tuesday, March 1st, NewFilmmakers presents its regular new Webisode Program, a Short Film Program with Jewish Interest Films, and the new Feature VAMP BIKERS DOS featuring former Club Kid Michael Alig (as God), A Bronx Tales' Lillo Brancato, and Scarefaces' A?ngel Salazar.

Susan Austin THIS AMERICAN DEATH

Since the death of her mom, filmmaker Susan Austin has been obsessed by what experts call the Good Death. A gold standard in dying. But this wasn't Susan's experience with her mom. So she sets out to interrogate this Good Death and explore the perplexing situation wherein many hope for this idealized death but few experience it.

In this hard-boiled mix of Neo Noir and Blaxploitation homage, Mob Associate Bobby Cheeks learns he is marked for death by capo Dominic Caligula, therefore he enlists the help of his estranged war buddy and underground MMA fighter Mike McKenzie to meet Caligula's threat head on.

NewFilmmakers screens at Anthology Film Archives on the Lower East Side at 32 Second Avenue & 2nd Street. Tickets are $7 and are good for the whole night and go on sale at 5:30PM the night of performance at the Anthology Box Office. There is no advanced or online sales.
