Neil Meron & Craig Zadan to Team on Celebrity Adventure Series for NBC

The dynamic team of Craig Zadan and Neil Meron have taken on yet another exciting project heading to TV. (Do these guys ever rest?) According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo behind 'Smash' will be adapting a celebrity adventure show for the NBC network.

The site reports that the network has given the greenlight to a cast-contingent series order for 'Better Late Than Never', a celebrity adventure reality hybrid series. The show is based on the Korean series, 'Grandpas Over Flowers' from Small World IFT.

Now in its sophomore season in Korea, the reality hybrid series centers on "four beloved entertainment LEGENDS on their next great adventure. Deciding that it's "better late than never," they devise a plan to backpack across Southeast Asia."

Zadan and Meron will serve as executive producers for the U.S. version of the show. As of now, no details have been revealed as to which A-List celebs will be participating and what the "adventure" in question may be. If proven a ratings success, the project may go straight to series, joining a host of unscripted offerings on the peacock network including Running Wild With Bear Grylls, The Biggest Loser, Hollywood Game Night, American Ninja Warrior, LAST COMIC STANDING and America's Got Talent.
