Variety reports that Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who teamed to write the last five James Bond films, will be scripting the 24th installment in the franchise.

Purvis and Wade will rework John Logan's original screenplay, with SKYFALL helmer Sam Mendes onboard to direct.

Purvis and Wade have written the Bond movies THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH, DIE ANOTHER DAY, CASINO ROYALE, QUANTUM OF SOLACE and, of course, SKYFALL.

SKYFALL took in $1.1 billion worldwide and won two Oscars -- one for sound editing and another for Adele's orignal song "Skyfall".

Bond 24 is set to begin production this fall. The new feature length Bond film, starring Daniel Craig, is set to be released in theaters on November 6, 2015. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are producing.
