According to The Hollywood Reporter, actors Billy Dee Williams and Nathan Lane will both appear in guest roles on the ABC comedy MODERN FAMILY later this season.

Williams is set to make a cameo appearance as himself in the show's 13th episode titled "New Year's Eve." During the episode, "Jay (Ed O'Neill) takes the family to Palm Springs to celebrate New Year's Eve together and meets Williams over a game of cards."

Lane will return in his role as 'Pepper Saltzman', Mitch and Cam's "flamboyant friend." The guest spot will mark the third time the actor has appeared on the comedy. He was most recently on TV in a recurring role on the CBS drama The Good Wife. He has had previous guest roles on the TV comedies Frasier, Curb Your Enthusiasm and 30 Rock.

Lane is a two-time Tony and Emmy award-winning stage and screen star. He is best known for his roles as Albert in The Birdcage, Max Bialystock in the musical The Producers, Ernie Smuntz in MouseHunt, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and his voice work in The Lion King and Stuart Little. In 2008, he was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame. He most recently appeared on Broadway in The Addams Family.

Modern Family airs at 9 p.m. Wednesdays on ABC.
