Naomi Campbell to Appear in Recurring Role on FOX's New Drama, STAR

Supermodel Naomi Campbell will be featured in a recurring role on FOX's new series, STAR. Campbell will play the role of "Rose Spencer,"the beautiful, wealthy and cultivated London-born mother of "Alexandra."

About STAR Featuring a soundtrack of original music and stunning music performances, STAR follows three talented singers, desperate for a new start and with ambitions of stardom, as they navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success. The series stars Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award, Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Queen Latifah ("Bessie," "Bringing Down The House") as CARLOTTA, Emmy Award nominee Benjamin Bratt ("24: Live Another Day," "Law & Order") as JAHIL, newcomer Jude Demorest as STAR, newcomer Ryan Destiny as ALEXANDRA, Brittany O' Grady as SIMONE and Amiyah Scott as COTTON. The series will also feature guest star and Grammy Award winner Lenny Kravitz ("Lee Daniels' The Butler," "The Hunger Games").

STAR is a production of 20th Century FOX Television in association with Lee Daniels Entertainment. Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy are the creators and executive producers of the series. Pamela Oas Williams and Effie Brown also serve as executive producers. Charles Pratt will serve as showrunner for the series.

Campbell executive-produced and was featured on the reality modeling competition series, "The Face." Additionally, she appeared in Madonna's "Erotica," Bob Marley's "Is This Love" and Michael Jackson's "In The Closet." One of the five original supermodels, Campbell has graced more than 500 magazine covers and has been featured in campaigns for Burberry, Prada, Versace, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino. She was the first black model to appear on the cover of Time magazine, French Vogue and Russian Vogue, as well as the first British black model to appear on the cover of British Vogue.

Campbell is also responsible for an incredible amount of fundraising and charity work in South AFRICA and across the globe. She began charity work with Nelson Mandela in 1993, and in 1997 he named her "Honorary Granddaughter" for endless activism. In 2005, she established Fashion For Relief and hosted its first charity fashion show to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Since its conception in 2005, Fashion For Relief has presented shows in New York, London, Cannes, Moscow, Mumbai and Dar es Salaam, and has raised millions of dollars for various causes.
In April 2016, Campbell released a limited, two-volume Collector's Edition book, "Naomi Campbell: THE ART OF Beauty," designed by British pop art luminary Allen Jones, celebrating her remarkable career amidst the greatest legends of fashion and photography with jaw-dropping images and exclusive autobiographical text.
