A series of attention-grabbing new advertisements celebrating 50 years of NYC PBS station Thirteen WNET have begun popping up throughout the Big Apple, all mocking the contemporary trend of disposable reality TV.

Boasting dreamed-up scenarios hitting all too close to home for many actual Reality Show concepts as they exist - such as BAYOU ESKIMOS, KNITTING WARS and BAD BAD BAGBOYS - the wittily effective ads point out the quality offered by PBS with programs like DOWNTON ABBEY, Live From Lincoln Center and Great Performances not consistently afforded by the stable of cheaply-produced, arguably talent-free reality fare available on most cable channels in the modern era.

Accompanying mock-ups of ads for reality series BAYOU ESKIMOS, KNITTING WARS, BAD BAD BAGBOYS, MARRIED TO A MIME and THE DILLIONAIRE, two lines of text read, "The fact you thought this was a real show says a lot about the state of TV."
