NBC's TONIGHT SHOW, LATE NIGHT Continue Dominance

NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" have delivered dominant wins Versus their broadcast time-period competition for the week of Sept. 9-13.

Both shows generated bigger audiences than the timeslot competition in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures. Note that Tuesday telecasts were delayed due to news coverage and CBS excluded its Monday and Tuesday results due to delays. Also, the Friday telecast of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was an encore.

"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" won the 11:35 p.m.-12:35 a.m. ET hour Versus CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. Fallon topped CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and ABC's "Nightline" in their head-to-head 12:30-1 a.m. half-hour in each of those categories as well.

Leno has now delivered bigger 18-49 audiences than "Late Show" for the last 43 weeks in a row and topped "Kimmel" for 33 of their 36 head-to-head weeks. In total viewers, Leno has out-delivered "Late Show" for 47 weeks in a row and "Kimmel" for 36 of 36 weeks.

Fallon has now generated bigger 18-49 audiences than "Late Late Show" for 48 of the last 49 weeks and prevailed in total viewers for 45 of the last 47 weeks. Versus "Nightline" in their head-to-head half-hour, Jimmy has out-delivered the ABC series for 36 of 36 weeks in viewers 18-49 and 22 weeks in a row in total viewers.
