NBC's THE VOICE Grows Week-to-Week, Network Wins Monday Night Among Big 4

NBC wins Monday night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is #1 in every other key demo, while ranking #1 or tied for #1 during six of six half-hours among those nets in adults 18-49.

"The Voice" (2.1/7 in 18-49, 9.8 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET): Grows +5% week to week in 18-49 (2.1 vs. 2.0) and +4% total viewers (9.845 million vs. 9.489 million).

Is the #1 program of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and nearly all other key demographics (excludes men 18-34).

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - so far this season, Monday's "Voice" has grown by +24% going from L+SD to L+7 in 18-49 rating (from a 3.03 to a 3.77) and 2.2 million viewers overall (11.9 million to 14.1 million).

Upscale: Monday's "Voice" has delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 118 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3).

"Blindspot" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET): Ranks #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (tie), adults 25-54, women 25-54 and women 18-49 versus CBS's season finale of "NCIS: Los Angeles."

Retains +93% week to week in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.4) and +99% in total viewers (5.544 million vs. 5.582 million), pending updates.

On a night of high viewer interest in TNT's coverage of the NBA Playoffs, retains 100% week to week in adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.9), women 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.6) and women 25-54 (2.3 vs. 2.3).

Will grow dramatically via time-shifting and VOD viewership: L+3: Last week's "Blindspot" grew by +62% going from L+SD to L+3 ratings in 18-49 (1.41 to 2.28) and by 3.0 million viewers overall (5.6 million to 8.6 million).

That April 25 "Blindspot" delivered Monday's biggest L+3 lifts in 18-49 and total viewers.

L+7: "Blindspot" has increased by +80% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 2.02 to a 3.63) and more than 5.0 million viewers overall (7.4 million to 12.5 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Upscale: "Blindspot" is generating a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 125 among adults 18-49 living in home with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3). Last week's "Blindspot" was the night's #2 most upscale telecast on the Big 4, behind only "The Voice," indexing at a 118.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

For the Week: NBC has finished #2 in total viewers for the primetime ratings week of April 25-May 1, while also ranking #2 among the Big 4 networks in adults 25-54, men 25-54 and men 18-49 and tying for #1 in men 18-34, according to "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Placing in the top 20 for the week among primetime Big 4 telecasts in the key demographic of adults 18-49 were Monday and Tuesday editions of "The Voice" (tied for #4), Tuesday's "Chicago Med" (tied for #7), Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" (tied for #9), Sunday's "Little Big Shots" (tied for #9) and Monday's "Blindspot" (#20).

Versus the same week last year, NBC retained 100% of its rating in adults 25-54, adults 18-34, men 25-54 and men 18-49 and grew in men 18-34.

Season to date, NBC is running within 0.1 of a rating point of #1 behind Super Bowl-boosted CBS in adults 18-49, and is tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-34 and women 18-49.

NBC's total-viewer average of 8.246 million is the network's highest at this point in a season without a SUPER BOWL or Olympic boost since 2007-08 (also 8.246 million).
