NBC's HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT Matches Series Record

From 8-9 p.m. ET, "Hollywood Game Night" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) matched the "HGN" series record in adults 18-49. "Hollywood Game Night" also achieved a 1.5 in this same time slot last week and first delivered the series-record rating two weeks ago with the show's 9 p.m. edition. From its first half-hour to its second, "Hollywood Game Night" grew by 7% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.5 rating from a 1.4) and 11% in women 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.8).

Versus its third week last summer, this season's third 8 p.m. telecast of "Hollywood Game Night" is up 15% in 18-49 rating (with a 1.5 vs. a 1.3 on July 25, 2013) and up 29% in total viewers (4.949 million vs. 3.846 million).

From 9-11 p.m., the NBC Special "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful" averaged a 0.9/2 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

Last night's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" equaled its highest overnight rating in 15 months. For both Leno and Jimmy Fallon, it was their top Mondays in metered-market household rating in nearly four years, since the night Jay returned to the "Tonight Show" desk.

Leno scored a 3.9 rating, 10 share in metered-market households, matching last Friday's rating as "Tonight's" strongest since Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 (the night of a guest appearance by President Barack Obama, 4.0/10). It was the highest Monday "Tonight" rating since March 1, 2010 (5.4).

Fallon delivered a 2.0/7 in households, his highest rating for a Monday since that same date, March 1, 2010 (2.1).

Guests on "Tonight" Monday night included Jimmy Fallon, Betty White with musical guest Bonnie Raitt.

The Feb. 3 edition of "Late Night" presented "The Best of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon: Musical Sketches."


Detailed Results:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.9/10; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.3/6 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 1.0/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (2.0/7 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


For the Week:

For the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2, NBC averaged a 1.3 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall.

Versus the same week last year, NBC is up 8% in 18-49 rating (1.3 vs. 1.2) and up 23% in total viewers (4.7 million vs. 3.9 million).

NBC's top-rated shows of the week in 18-49 included: Monday's "The Blacklist" (tied for #11), Wednesday's "Law & Order: SVU" (tied for #15), Thursday's "Saturday Night Live" special (tied for #21) and Tuesday's "The Biggest Loser" and Wednesday's "Chicago P.D." (tied for #24, rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows).

"The Blacklist" was the week's #1 drama on the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49 and "Law & Order: SVU" tied for #2.

For the season, NBC's 2.8 rating in adults 18-49 matches the net's top average at this point in the season in five years (since a 3.1 in 2008-09).

Through 19 weeks of the season, NBC is running within a tenth of a rating point of #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49 and is #1 in women 18-49.

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season with an average of 9.0 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 19 weeks into the season in seven years (since 2006-07, 9.8 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 12% season to date in total viewers (9.0 million vs. 8.1 million).
