NBC's DATELINE Hits 2-Month in High in Adults 18-49

NBC was #1 Friday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories, led by the #1 show of the night on those networks, "Dateline NBC." At 10, "Rock Center with Brian Williams" was up week to week by 33 percent in 18-49.

From 8-10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall) reported the #1 results of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. "Dateline" delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the two-hour time period in three months (since March 1) and matched the network's top 18-49 rating in the slot since a December 7 "Saturday Night Live" special (1.5). In total viewers, it's the biggest overall audience in the slot for NBC since February 15 (6.7 million for "Dateline"). "Dateline" was #1 in the slot among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, total viewers and most other key categories.

"Dateline" matched its top Friday rating in 18-49 since January 4 (1.5) and delivered its biggest Friday overall audience since February 15 (6.7 million). Week to week, "Dateline" is up 40 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.0), 27 percent in adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.5) and 17 percent in total viewers (6.411 million vs. 5.462 million).

From 10-11 p.m. ET, "Rock Center with Brian Williams" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 33 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 rating from a 0.9), by 33 percent in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.2) and 32 percent in total viewers (5.279 million vs. 4.005 million). In total viewers, it's the top "Rock Center" since the April 19 telecast that featured coverage of the Capture of the Boston bombing suspect. In the time period, "Rock Center" is #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 among those networks in women 18-49 and women 25-54.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.4/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.4/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
