NBC's Coverage of U.S. Gymnastics Championship Grows +160% vs Year-Ago Telecast

NBC's coverage of the WOMEN'S U.S. GYNMANSTICS CHAMPIONSHIP (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) jumps +160% versus the comparable year-ago Saturday telecast in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 0.5 from 8-10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015) and 3.0 million viewers or +126% in total viewers (5.313 million vs. 2.356 million).

Increases +44% versus this past Friday's primetime coverage of the "U.S. Gymnastics Championship" in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 0.9 from 9-11 p.m. Friday night) and 1.7 million viewers or +48% in total viewers (5.313 million vs. 3.588 million).

Scores NBC's top results in the slot, excluding June 12 Stanley Cup hockey coverage, since March 6 (1.4 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall with "Dateline NBC"), on a competitive night that included HBO's season finale of "Game of Thrones," the "BET Awards," Copa America soccer coverage and the launch of Discovery's "Shark Week." Ranks #2 among the Big 4 in the time period in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics.

"U.S. Olympic Trials: Swimming" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) Builds on its lead-in by +43% in 18-49 rating and +24% in total viewers.

"U.S. Olympic Trials: Diving" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET): Finishes #2 in the time period among the Big 4 in adults and men 18-49 and adults, men and women 25-54. Ranks #1 in the time period among those nets in adults, men and women 18-34 and women 18-49. Is close to rounding up to a 0.8 (currently reporting a 0.74 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings).
