NBC has tied for #2 for the primetime week of July 13-19 in adults 18-49, with "America's Got Talent" ranking as the week's #1 primetime non-sports telecast on the Big 4 networks in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 1.1 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall for the week.

Excluding Fox's coverage of baseball's All-Star Game and ABC's "Espy Awards," "America's Got Talent" ranked #1 among the week's primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.

Additionally, "Talent" was the #1 Big 4 telecast overall, including sports, in women 25-54, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Excluding the All-Star Game and Espys, NBC placed nine shows in the week's top 30 - Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" (#1 excluding sports-related programming), Monday's "American Ninja Warrior" (tied for #6), Tuesday's "Hollywood Game Night" (#10), Monday's "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" debut (tied for #12), Wednesday's "Talent" encore (tied for #12), Wednesday's "Ninja" encore (#15), "Dateline Thursday Night Mystery" (tied for #16), Friday's "Dateline NBC" (tied for #20) and Thursday's "Food Fighters" (tied for #20).

NBC was #2 outright for the week among the Big 4 networks in adults, men and women 25-54 and women 18-49.

For the 52-week 2014-15 season to date, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is #1 or tied for #1 among those nets in men 18-49 and adults and men 18-34.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, and running within 6% of its year-ago Olympics-boosted average (8.0 million vs. 8.6 million), making this season and last NBC's two top-scoring seasons in total viewers at this point since the 2006-07 season. This is the second year in a row NBC has ranked #2 in total viewers at this point in the season, marking first two times since 2003-04 that NBC has ranked as high as #2 in total viewers at this point.

Primetime averages for the week of July 13-19 in adults 18-49 are: ABC, 1.2/4; Fox, 1.1/4; NBC, 1.1/4; CBS, 0.9/3; and CW, 0.3/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 5.2 million; ABC, 4.6 million; NBC, 4.3 million; Fox, 3.9 million; and CW, 1.1 million.

"Most current" averages for the 52-week 2014-15 season to date are: NBC, 2.2/7; ABC, 2.1/7; CBS, 2.1/7; Fox, 1.8/6; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.2 million; NBC, 8.0 million; ABC, 7.6 million; Fox, 5.5 million; and CW, 2.0 million.

NBC highlights for the week of July 13-19:

Monday

NBC tied for #1 Monday night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and was #1 in adults 25-54 and men 18-34.

"American Ninja Warrior" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked #2 for the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers. In the time period, "American Ninja Warrior" ranked #2 in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54.

"Live Plus Three Day" Ratings: "American Ninja Warrior" grew by +14% in 18-49 rating going from "live plus same day" to "live plus three day" Nielsens (from a 1.81 rating to a 2.07) and by 654,000 viewers overall (from 6.1 million to 6.7 million).

"Live Plus Seven Day" Ratings: "American Ninja Warrior" has grown by +18% in 18-49 rating going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day" ratings (from a 1.92 to a 2.27) and 913,000 viewers overall (6.5 million to 7.4 million).

The season premiere of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) won the hour and matched its season one average last summer among adults 18-49 while also improving 0.2 of a point on "The Island's" average this summer in the timeslot. L+3: "Running Wild" increased by +14% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (1.24 to 1.41). In total viewers, "The Island" grew by 521,000 persons (from 3.7 million to 4.3 million).

Tuesday

NBC finished #2 for the night in 18-49, all key demos and total viewers against Fox's Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

"America's Got Talent" (2.5/9 in 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) rose 0.2 or +9% versus the prior week and ranked as the #1 entertainment program of the night in 18-49, all key demos and total viewers. Even with the All-Star Game included, "Talent" was #1 in all key women demos. "Talent" also grew every half-hour in 18-49 and total viewers. L+3: "America's Got Talent" grew by +21% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens (from a 2.47 rating to a 2.98) and by 1.6 million viewers overall (from 10.8 million to 12.4 million). L+7: Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" has grown by +31% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.46 to a 3.22) and more than 2.3 million viewers overall (10.7 million to 13.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Hollywood Game Night" (1.4/5, 4.9 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) easily defeated both CBS and ABC in the time period in all key demos. L+3: "Hollywood Game Night" increased by +13% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens (from a 1.39 rating to a 1.57) and by 456,000 viewers overall (from 4.9 million to 5.3 million).

Wednesday

NBC's encore lineup tied for #2 for the night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 on a night when ABC aired, for the first time, the ESPY Awards.

An encore / recap telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.2/5 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its second in 18-49.

A rebroadcast "American Ninja Warrior" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) won the time period among the Big 4 networks, excluding ABC's "ESPY Awards," in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

Thursday

NBC finished #2 for the night with a 1.0/4 in the 18-49 demo and 4.9 million viewers, a week-to-week improvement of +67% in 18-49 and +107% in total viewers.

"Food Fighters" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked #2 in the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and was even versus the prior week in adult 18-49 rating and up +18% in total viewers (3.9 million vs. 3.3 million). L+7: "Food Fighters" is increasing by +16% in 18-49 rating (from a 0.67 to a 0.78) and 315,000 viewers overall (3.1 million to 3.4 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Dateline Thursday Night Mystery" (1.0/4, 5.5 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) finished #2 in the two-hour time slot. "Dateline Mystery" improved on the prior week's 18-49 rating for the 9-11 p.m. time period by +150% (1.0 vs. 0.4). "Dateline Mystery" came in #2 in the 9 p.m. hour ahead of original FOX and ABC programming in both 18-49 and total viewers and led the 10 p.m. hour against original ABC and CBS programming in both measures. L+7: Thursday's "Dateline" is growing by an average of +20% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.09 to a 1.31) and 758,000 viewers overall (5.8 million to 6.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Friday

An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (0.8/4 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49 and equaled its Friday 18-49 rating of the prior week.

"Dateline NBC" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and was Friday's #1 show outright on those nets in adults 25-54 (1.4). From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline NBC" grew by +11% in adults 18-49 (0.9 to 1.0) and +15% in adults 25-54 (1.3 to 1.5), despite the 10 p.m. hour. L+7: Friday's "Dateline" is increasing by an average of +25% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.16 to a 1.45) and 950,000 viewers overall (5.8 million to 6.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Saturday

An encore telecast of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (0.4/2 in 18-49, 1.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the time period among the Big 4 in adults 18-49.

"Aquarius" (0.2/1 in 18-49, 1.2 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 and most other key demos. L+7: "Aquarius" is growing by an average of +40% in 18-49 rating (from a 0.77 to a 1.08) and 1.3 million viewers overall (4.0 million to 5.3 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Hannibal" (0.3/1 in 18-49, 1.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 and all other key demos, despite the 10 p.m. hour. L+7: "Hannibal" is increasing by an average of +58% in 18-49 rating (from a 0.48 to a 0.76) and 695,000 viewers overall (1.7 million to 2.4 million) going from L+SD to L+7

Sunday

An encore telecast of "Hollywood Game Night" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 2.1 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET) retained 100% of the prior week's adult 18-49 rating (0.5 vs. 0.5) and grew week to week in men 25-54 (0.7 vs. 0.6).

The season-two debut of "Welcome to Sweden" (0.3/1 in 18-49, 1.4 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) equaled the show's season-one finale in adult 18-49 rating (0.3 from 9:30-10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014) and retained 90% of last summer's finale in total viewers (1.4 million vs. 1.5 million).

A second telecast of "Welcome to Sweden" (0.3/1 in 18-49, 1.1 million viewers overall from 8:30-9 p.m. ET) retained its full adult 18-49 lead-in rating (0.3 vs. 0.3) and also held 100% of its lead-in rating in all other key demos.

A rebroadcast of "American Ninja Warrior" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) won its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demos. From its first half-hour to its fourth, the "Ninja" encore grew by +50% in adult 18-49 rating (0.6 to 0.9) and +50% or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (2.1 million to 3.2 million).
